About this Event

This is session three of series of live webinars to help folks better communicate in this online world - and i'm pleased to announce we have a guest coach joining us for this event, Katja van Kotan. Take a look at some of the related courses and events i offer on this page, Public Speaking and Speaking Up.

The challenge teams are facing

"I have a team to manage and it's difficult to keep them engaged "

“The technology is holding us back! I don’t know when to speak and when not to.”

"I'm worried that I don't have the full picture about how my team/mates are feeling"

“It’s harder now we can’t just ‘pop to their desk' and speak to our colleagues face to face.”

“I’m struggling to make my ideas heard, even more so now it's online.”

“I find webcams and the likes hard at the best of times, so this is just a nightmare for me”

The reality of this challenge

People the world over are now working remotely and via webcam.

Everything is now digital, like it or not. Some are comfortable with this, some aren’t. Some are used to this, some aren’t. And for some, this is completely foreign.

For teams, this poses a challenge at scale.

How this webinar might help

So how do you make sure that your teams are communicating as effectively as possible in this new online world?

To answer this question, I've invited a guest communications coach, Katja van Koten (@sparklingspeech) to join me.

She's ace and it felt right to team up for a webinar as it's an area close to both of our hearts.

Our role in the webinar will be two fold:

  1. To provide advice to those who need it

  2. To hold a space to allow advice and learning to emerge from all participants

The session will run for 1.5 hours and we'll keep it simple, to the point and effective.

We will;

  1. Explore and check in how everyone is getting on

  2. Each identify some challenges we are facing working with remote teams

  3. Work as a group to help find practical solutions to those challenges

  4. Confirm everyone has actions, check out and close the session
