READ: Retreat

"an act of moving back or withdrawing"

Life tells us constantly - move forward, hurry up, do this thing next, do that thing now.

We're constantly in a state or environment of progression, pressure and persistence.

But how conscious is it?

When our phone pings - do we mindfully consider if now is the time to respond or do we automatically inhale whatever stimulus it gives to us?

When we're given that deadline, do we consciously look at how we may achieve it (or if it's even possible) before embarking on trying to meet it?

When we're told to deliver a message, or asked a question on the spot, do we pause and consider our words, intent and strategy or does it fall out of us unconsciously or lead to silence?

Sometimes to move forward with purpose and authenticity, we need to move back first to see things differently.

We need to retreat.

When we take a step back, we see more of what is in front. When we take a step back, we give ourselves more options of steps to move forward with.

When we rest, reflect and reset, we re-charge, revision and re-imagine things. When we re-imagine, we develop new strategies and with strategies come action.

If you want to create a new vision and strategy for how to communicate better and connect with your authentic self, taking a step back from the unconscious day to day self will help you see things consciously.

Retreating doesn't mean losing, it means pausing and taking a different direction in the face of something that is too much or isn't quite working.

Come and retreat with me to help look at things differently at RESET.
