READ: Connection

"a relationship in which a person or thing is linked or associated with something else"

Connection is important. Connection to ourselves, connection to others.

Without connection to ourselves, we can't properly connect to others because we aren't bringing out whole selves to the party.

So what does it mean to be connected to ourself?

It means being conscious, in the moment and speaking and acting in congruence with our needs, intentions and beliefs.

Speaking from the 'whole' - not just a part.

When we connect with others and bring our whole self, rather than just one part, we are seen for who we are and our message lands.

This gives us confidence in our communication

When we are authentic, bringing our whole self, this fosters authentic connection.

Authentic connection deepens trust, boosts our resilience and gives us more space to 'be' and more avenues to 'practise' being around those we are connected too - speaking and acting in congruence with our intentions, beliefs and needs.

Some times we need to create the space that allows these connections to form, so that we can practise being and get comfortable - with other people who think, feel and act in a similar way to us.

This is why I created Reset: to create a fun, safe and empowering space to 'be' yourself and, ultimately, connect with others from this authentic place, giving you a blueprint to take back out into the world into the trickier conversations.

Come and join me at the next Reset!
